A group of spirit deities workshipped by Tulunad (dakshin karnataka and northern Kerala) people. These protective spirits of nature are often associated with local heroes, animals and fierce beings. Both benevolent and malevolent appearances are present depending on the rituals. ‘Bhutakola’ performances are still done with passion in Tulunad. This figure is calculated to be more than 500 years old and it is a detachable piece as well
